Extractions

A tooth extraction is the removal of a tooth that cannot be restored due to decay, infection, trauma, or advanced gum disease. In some cases, extractions are also recommended to make space for orthodontic treatment or to remove problematic wisdom teeth.
What to expect:
The area is numbed to ensure comfort during the procedure. The tooth is carefully removed, and if needed, stitches may be placed to help healing. After the extraction, detailed home care instructions are provided to protect the area and prevent complications such as dry socket or infection.
In many cases, replacing the missing tooth with a dental implant, bridge, or partial denture helps restore function and prevent shifting of surrounding teeth.
